Just because...

Yesterday was the Thanksgiving day feast that you may remember me posting about a few weeks ago. Elmo decided that even though Paige didn't want him to attend with her, there was no way he was missing his date with Coleton. He took a 1/2 day from work...but still managed to call me 10 times before I got home. Geesh!

As I got home, everyone was already outside playing, so I let Jadyn play immediately rather than making her go potty first. I had been home for about an hour or so before I actually went "in" the house to make dinner. As I went in, there on the counter stood a beautiful arrangement of a dozen roses with a card leaning against the vase. I was shocked! A little note said, "Just because I love you." In the card there was a gift card to a nail salon nearby, but to me it was SO much more than that. It was 90 minutes alone, an opportunity to be a girl (rare chance these days), and Elmo offering (without even saying it) to watch the kids.

I ran upstairs to find him and tell him thank you. I can't even remember the last time I got flowers, but it was SO SWEET. I asked him why he did that for me and he said, "Just because."

What a great set of words....just because.
