...that I really (I mean REALLY) like Miley Cyrus? Aside from the fact that she is the daughter of BILLY RAY CYRUS, she is (in my opinion) very talented and pretty.
The Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Tour was the first (and only) concert that I took Paige to. She was so excited when I showed her the tickets the night of the concert, and her happiness made me happy. Though not quite sure what I was headed for, I was so thrilled to be making this lasting memory with my daughter. The concert, in summary, was a complete success, and I would take her again if given the chance. I didn't know any of Hannah's / Miley's songs (unlike my admiring counterpart) but was totally sucked into the beats and messages that her lyrics spewed. This is one parent who has no problem allowing her daughter to sing songs at the top of her lungs that speak of "true friends" "life's what you make it" "I learned everything I know from Daddy" "nobody's perfect" and "take me as I am."
Since then, Paige has jumped onto the Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus band wagon, collecting everything from clothing (PJ's, socks & underwear included), posters, toys, purses, LOTION & pencils. You name it, she probably has it...including her CD's.
This morning I heard the newest song from Miley Cyrus (the REAL girl, not the one playing a rock star...it can get confusing...). It's called The Climb, and it really, really, really tugged at my maternal heartstrings. I absolutely LOVE it, and wish that Paige were mature/old enough to read between the lines and understand the message it sends.
It is defiantly a song that I hope she can "hear", understand the message, and remember throughout her very difficult years ahead.
If you want to hear it please click here. It's technically not on the radio yet, so this was a live version, not nearly as good as the recorded version I hear this morning. I'd love to hear you thoughts on it!
